...or how I learned to stop worrying and start a Blog
In the late 70s, early 80s I was a missile launch officer in the 446th SMS out of Grand Forks. This structure was in our missile field, just north of the Delta launch control center. We had been told the building had been stripped of equipment and was otherwise empty except for water filling the lower floors. We thought it would be a great tourist attraction if we dug up all the old Presidents and buried them in this giant pyramid. Pack them in, their libraries, open a gift shop, and bam, you give Mt. Rushmore a run for its money!
