With a length of 57.5 feet, those must be two pretty short city buses they are comparing it to. ;-) Although you can't see the number on its sail, that appears to be the SSGN Halibut that's launching it. The bow hanger for the missile was later turned into a workspace for intelligence gathering operations with UUVs, and it was Halibut that found the sunk "Golf" class Soviet missile submarine that the CIA tried to raise using the Glomar Explorer.
