... part of one of the proposed projects for the Air Force Gemini project (manned). Addressing a need for (?) Multiple launch sites; this being outside of the continental US (Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands) about as remote as you can get! Alternate launch site; for Polar orbit?
The separate Air Force manned space program (Dyna-Soar, Blue Gemini, MOL) never got off the ground (all puns intended)!
