... very HEAVY construction!

Looks like a jail to hold Superman! Wrong! It will be the Control/ Command center for an underground missile site. Notice it's at the bottom of a big hole in the ground. Much easier to build and bury than tunnel. You can see the huge interlocking blast doors that will seal off the space. In the lower picture they are under the box structure which is part of the entryway. The solid tubular steel is ribar (Reinforcing Bar). It is the reinforcement in 'reinforced concrete'. Saying reinforced three times makes my mouth feel funny!

1965 ... 'The Bedford Incident'

Sydney Poitier portrays Ben Munceford, a LIFE magazine style photojournalist, who bears witness to actions and events spiraling out of control. Although by this point Poitier had been making films for 15 years, this was the first film in which his race was neither mentioned nor relevant. Richard Widmark, who had the role of the Bedford's tyrannical captain, was also producer of the film. Director and Co-producer James Harris had previously worked with Stanley Kubrick- and it shows!
Translates as 'A strange adventure of silence and danger'. The French title winds up being 'At Combat Stations' LINK to preview.

... more high-jinks and shenanigans!

Ah yes! The good old days when PR men really earned their keep! No matter how absurd or corny. As long as it's in focus and has some T and A! Maybe it's a tie in with 1968's 'Mars Needs Women'
Test pilots for North American horse around in front of a B-1 strategic bomber. "I told you! No horsin' around on the aircraft!"
