... ironically, here I am a life-long photographer, pushing for the re-emergence of painting style illustration. These examples I have worked up on my computer prove it doesn't have to take gobs of time, money or oil paint to put excitement and creativity back into aerospace illustration.

Beautiful illo! Renderings are all too rare in these days of easy photo compositing and CG (which I do myself with comics so I guess I'll plead irony, too). The beauty of those Cold War magazine ads and brochures is a lost art. I'd love to see you post any other illustrations you've done.
Very impressive. I love the heat waves generated by the J-57 engines.
